SnapTag for Instagram - Botany Town Centre, NZ

PROMOTION OBJECTIVE:

  • To increase Botany Town Centre Instagram followers
  • To provide a unique selfie photo opportunity to raise awareness and increase foot traffic to 'The Lane' (a newly developed area in BTC)
  • To allow customers to instantly print #tagged Instagram photos and take home a branded memento of the event

HOW IT WORKED:

Firstly, BTC's creative team designed 'The Coolest Snap' photo set opportunity. Then visitors to the shopping centre were encouraged to 'snap a selfie' and post their photo to Instagram using #BTCSelfieinthelane. Gift card prizes were offered as an incentive to maximise photo uploads. Scene to Believe's SnapTag solution then instantly printed these photographs containing BTC custom branding, providing a unique keepsake for participants.


THE RESULTS:

  • Over 300 photo posts to #BTCSelfieinthelane
  • Botany Town Centre increased their Instagram followers by 25%
  • Scene to Believe provided a roaming photographer to take and post photos to Instagram for visitors who did not have an Instagram account (thus capturing everyone)
